Military and Dependents

Central Carolina Technical College has proudly sustained its commitment to provide high quality, affordable education to military members and their families. Our staff is available at all CCTC locations to assist military-affiliated students in making their academic goals a reality.

Whether you desire to complete a military degree, add skills to your resume or start your path to higher education, we have the resources to get you started on the right foot. Because we are military friendly, we offer a variety of formats to allow greater academic flexibility for unpredictable military schedules and deployments.

Active Duty Military and their family members are afforded in-state tuition status immediately upon completion of the Active Duty Military Verification Form or Military Dependent Verification Form.  Once completed, just have it signed and verified by the Shaw AFB, Education Center Staff or Unit Orderly Room representative, and drop it off at any of our convenient campus locations.

CCTC waives all CLEP and DANTES testing administrative fees for Active Duty Military!  Our Main Campus Testing Center hours provide additional opportunities and flexibility to test when other testing locations may be closed.  After you have registered for your CLEP and DANTES exam, visit Testing Center Registration to schedule an appointment to test. Testing Center Registration is conveniently available to you 24 hours daily. For more information about CLEP and DANTES testing at Central Carolina, click here, or call 803-774-3306, or email testingcenterstaff@cctech.edu.

For assistance, CCTC’s Shaw AFB Base Education Center Site is located on Shaw Air Force Base, in Building 501.  CCTC campuses are located throughout the region surrounding Shaw AFB. Stop by one of our other convenient locations for assistance at Main Campus (Sumter), F. E. DuBose Campus (Manning), Kershaw County Campus (Camden), or Lee County Site (Bishopville).
