Central Carolina Technical College is a comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education that is dedicated to fostering a positive environment of teaching and learning for faculty, staff, and students. The College serves primarily the region of Clarendon, Lee, Kershaw, and Sumter counties in South Carolina and confers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Central Carolina students have a wide array of programs and services from which to choose. Our online programming and cooperative agreements with other colleges and universities provide students with exceptional opportunities coupled with our more traditional learning opportunities.

Student Life hosted a Sept. 25 event for Central Carolina students, staff and faculty to bring awareness about the dangers of texting and driving and to encourage people to take a personal pledge to not text and drive.

Veterans Resource Center sponsors suicide prevention speaker

Guest speaker Scott Douglass held a Suicide Prevention Workshop on Sept. 25 that was sponsored by CCTC’s Veterans Resource Center. The workshop was held in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month and covered tips on how to recognize different signs of suffering.

SC Works Site Manager Qualisha Belton and two case managers gave a presentation on Sept. 4 to about 20 students in CCTC's Basic Electricity for HVAC/R course. Students learned about the Santee-Lynches Region Workforce Investment Act Program, which provides services to job seekers.
