Under limited supervision and direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, serves as Director of TRIO Programs for the College. Effectively manages all aspects of the federal TRIO programs (Student Support Services and Veterans Upward Bound) to include compliance, reporting, personnel, budget management, records management, and student services. Provides leadership and guidance for TRIO and VUB grant programs. Designs and implements all aspects and ensures efficient operation of projects and services. Monitors federal regulations to ensure compliance and timely project reporting. Supervises and evaluates department personnel and completes staff evaluations. Monitors personnel needs and communicates them to the VP. Provides ongoing training and follows established procedures for the performance process. Manages, plans, and evaluates all budgetary functions of the department, makes annual budget requests, completes procedures in a timely manner, and works with other areas of the College to leverage resources. Completes annual planning process as a unit of Student Affairs, develops plans of action, completes effectiveness reports, and identifies appropriate goals for the unit. Implements changes for continuous improvement. Performs other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in counseling or related academic area and one (1) year experience in student services programs. Valid Driver’s license required.
$50,000 – $55,000.
