SAVANA MARKSBARY

CCTC Alumna, AAS Natural Resources Management

Savana Marksbary graduated from Central Carolina Technical College in 2024 with an Associate in Applied Science in Natural Resources Management. She chose CCTC with a clear goal in mind: to become the first person in her family to graduate from college. With a lifelong love of the outdoors and a strong interest in wildlife conservation and environmental science, the NRM program felt like the perfect fit.

During her time at CCTC, Savana was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and proudly became the first in her family to earn a college degree. She also completed an internship at Black Creek Wildlife Center, where she gained hands on experience and earned a certification in handling and relocating venomous snakes.

Today, Savana is continuing her education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Her goal is to build a career in forestry or wildlife management and continue making a difference in the field she is passionate about.

Her advice to future Titans? CCTC helped me gain the confidence and experience to pursue my bachelor’s degree, something I never thought I could do. Believe in yourself and take that first step.”
