DESCRIPTION:                   

Develops long-range and strategic plans that reflect the college’s mission, values and goals. Develops, implements, manages and evaluates programs to support instruction. Plans, implements, and delivers academic programs in the School of Professional Studies by developing an annual plan of action for each functional area, evaluates the goals and objectives of the plan, and identifies use of results in academic programs. Evaluates curriculum content, makes recommendations for changes and presents to College’s Curriculum Review Committee for consideration. Incorporates academic changes in all College publications. Maintains accreditation standards for all applicable programs. Ensures the selection of appropriate course materials. Serves as Co-Chair for the college’s Achieving the Dream (ATD) team. Provides vision and direction to the team to improve student success and equity; ensures implementation of project plan; and works with QEP, SEM and Data teams to connect project goals and coordinate data collection and reporting. Supervises and evaluates personnel through the College’s systematic FPMS and EPMS process. Makes recommendations for organizational efficiency. Communicates personnel vacancies and participate in the hiring process. Communicates any personnel issues to the appropriate supervisor. Provides leadership and guidance in the management of advisement issues for students by assigning student advisors and monitoring the number of advisees for faculty members. Participates in College, community, and professional development activities including Dean’s Director’s Council, AMT, and peer groups. Manages instructional management functions including classroom facilities. Monitors assessment of program outcomes. Manages outreach classes and distance education delivery. Manages the School of Professional Studies budget in an efficient manner through periodic review of expenditures, planning for budget needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:             

Master’s degree in a related discipline, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible related work experience

SALARY:                              

Commensurate with education and experience.
