Connects students with BrainFuse, Writing Center, Math Center, Infobase Cloud, and other academic support resources. Maintains student support records and submitting reports. Collects student survey data on the value of the assistance.

Administers placement testing,  accommodative testing, faculty makeup testing, and other type testing.  Generates, compiles, and inputs student information and scores into student data systems. Ensures test integrity by closely monitoring all testing activities. Provides testing assistance at offsite locations as needed. Contacts prospective and current students to schedule and confirm testing appointments. Provides assistance to other staff as needed with student registration, call campaigns, answering phones, etc. Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills, and the ability to interact with students, school personnel, and the public. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and high levels of confidential information. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Works fifteen (15) – twenty (20) hours per week.

Under the general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager, the instructor would train Phlebotomy Technicians to draw blood samples by venipunctures, skin punctures, and arterial collection for medical tests and blood donations. In the practice of phlebotomy, safety precautions must be taken to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases. Phlebotomy Technicians may work in hospitals, commercial laboratories, clinics, large medical offices, and blood banks. This program will prepare the student to sit for the NHA Exam (National Healthcare Association), and CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician). Training includes skill development in the performance of a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and universal precautions. Including vacuum collection devices, syringes, capillary skin puncture, butterfly needles and blood culture, specimen collection in adults, children, and infants. This program will also include CPR training..

QUALIFICATIONS:          

Have at least 3 years of Phlebotomy Experience, complete a trainer the trainer course and a National Phlebotomy Certified from one of the following organizations:  ASPT, ASCP, or AMT

Under general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager, instructor will prepare students for their state’s nursing assistant certification exam. Classwork includes training on performing CPR, first aid skills, human anatomy, basics of patient caregiving including taking vital signs, personal hygiene and range-of-motion exercises, infection control, and general safety. CNA classes offered by Central Carolina Technical College will also provide specifics on working with their patient population, whether they are elderly residents of a nursing home or patients for a home healthcare agency. CNA programs will also include hands-on training hours in the lab and at a local Nursing Home Facility working directly with patients in which students can put their classwork into practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:          

A minimum of two (2) years RN nursing experience including at least one (1) year in the provision in long term care nursing services within the last five (5) years. Candidates must get SCDHEC approval prior to teaching.
