QUALIFICATIONS:                        

Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialty in the area of Obstetrics and Pediatrics / Maternal – Child Care.  Strong clinical skills and knowledge-base in area of teaching.  Minimum of two (2) years recent experience.  Strong communication skills.  Prior teaching experience desirable.  Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in South Carolina.  Valid Driver’s license required.

Under general supervision from the Director of Accounting, performs various specialized accounting duties, particularly in accounts receivable; exercising judgment in using established office practices and procedures.  Prepares invoices for students, staff, companies and other agencies for accounts receivable.  Verifies accounting documents for invoices.  Processes batch invoices for students.  Confers with companies and other agency financial officials about procedures and student records.  Assists director in implementing procedural changes from external companies and agencies.  Reviews and verifies financial aid awards on students’ accounts and post appropriate refunds.  Reviews student accounts for Deferred Payment Plan, SC Department of Revenue (for GEAR debt set-off program), processes related paperwork, and maintains accurate records of the same.  Processes bad-debt write-off.  Performs other duties as required.

Assist students with college class enrollment.  Connect students with student support services and academic success resources.  Promote students persistence and retention by working with students to understand Degreeworks, degree plans and college resources.  Collaborate with outreach admissions counselors, advisors, Academic Success Center, and staff to serve students.  Provide support and assistance with caseloads for registration by making outbound calls.  Host in-person registration lab hours or Zoom appointments with students.  Assist with enrollment event and activities.  Maintain daily contact spreadsheets and documentation.  Conduct outreach calls to recent graduates on post-grad plans and discuss readmit process as needed.  Assist with outreach to stop-out students.  Twenty hours weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent written and oral communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience providing client-centered customer service in-person, virtual, and by telephone. This position combines managerial responsibilities with in-depth, hands-on technical expertise.  Manages the college’s information technology applications unit and database administration functions.  Responsible for managing the development, third-party integration, operational support, and maintenance activities for a myriad of complex higher education computer systems and applications.  Job functions include supervising and evaluating applications team members, database administrators, and contract staff; planning and directing the design and development of administrative systems with input from internal and external stakeholders; performing business analysis and developing project plans; developing, testing, and addressing defects for new and existing systems; maintaining database systems; providing technical support and end-user training in administrative systems; and maintaining system integrity and compliance with industry and state standards and security.

Under the supervision and direction of TRIO Programs Director, serves as TRIO Transfer Counselor for Student Support Services.  Interviews and assesses students’ educational, psychological, and financial needs.  Develops Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to assist participants in receiving needed academic assistance.  Provides guidance to the participants in admissions, financial aid, and academic counseling.  Counsels students on career options and college transfer opportunities.  Serves as an academic advisor to participants to ensure students are achieving academic and career goals.  Develops and conducts workshops that will provide participants’ opportunities to learn success oriented skills.  Develops annual college transfer orientation tours and cultural events for participants.  Maintains a tracking system to monitor transfer and cultural opportunities to determine effectiveness of events.  Provides reports to Director to ensure participants are following the required guidelines of program.  Manages an individual student caseload.  Conducts individual and group counseling sessions.  Demonstrates and provides leadership capabilities to TRIO state organization (SC TRIO) or national organization Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP).  Maintains compliance with federal regulations governing the project and ensures that all applicants meet federal guidelines for program participation.  Manages the TRIO student Ambassadors.  Participates as a member of the Financial Aid Appeals Committee.  Completes required professional development.  Performs other duties as required.
