Provides faculty training through workshops, classes and one-on-one sessions. Designs lessons and workshop materials, including the selection and organization of content, methods and assessments to accomplish learning objectives. Promotes the use of technology in the classroom and develops and provides faculty training on educational software and teaching with technology. Works collaboratively with the Office of Distance Learning to train faculty with using D2L Brightspace. Works with faculty to increase student usage of tutoring and supplemental instruction and promotes the use of BrainFuse and other student support resources at the College. Organizes and trains Learning Assistants who are providing support for students. Coordinates a formal process for faculty development which includes both full-time and adjunct faculty. Collects and evaluates student health records, ensuring they are current and in compliance with the program and clinical agency. Monitors, reports, and submits appropriate forms to clinical agencies that may include but are not limited to criminal background checks, CPR certification, drug screen, health and immunization requirements. Inputs student information for My Clinical Exchange and EPIC for health sciences students. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with clinical sites and preceptors for health sciences students that meet educational requires. Assigns faculty/students to clinical practicum sites that meet course objectives. Serves as liaison between the College and health care agencies. Communicates health care agency requirements (i.e. orientation, charting, parking, etc.) to faculty. Conducts clinical site visits as needed to assess appropriateness of clinical sites.
