Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Admissions, serves as frontline receptionist for the Student Services office at the F.E. DuBose campus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Receives, responds to and routes all telephone calls and walk-ins. Performs administrative assistant office duties including verifying indexed documents. Conducts call campaigns for incomplete admissions applications. Restocks office supplies and maintains inventory for the F.E.D. campus. Organize and implement campus-specific office policies and procedures. Collaborates with other college departments and Clarendon County School District employees to maintain Student Services office and student Learning & Media Center. Assist with campus recruitment, registration, and Student Life events. Initial training will take place at the college’s Main Campus in Sumter.

Minimum High School Diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Assists management in the effective allocation and use of resources through supervision and implementation of fiscal policies and procedures, to include reporting to the President, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Area Commission on the financial status of all fiscal matters within the College.  Coordinates all Business Affairs functions with ELT and all faculty and staff of the College. Responsible for supervision and management of the budgeting process, including preparation, revisions, reporting of annual budgets and development of long-range plans. Responsible for demonstrating and providing leadership to Business Affairs through strategic planning by analysis of data, planning for effectiveness, evaluation of operational units, and incorporation of changing environments for the Business Affairs division in procedures and resources in the areas of responsibilities. Works closely with ELT to ensure that all plans are interrelated and communicated between divisions and accomplish the mission of the College. Provides leadership in the management of the personnel in the Business Affairs division by selecting personnel, supervising responsibilities, and evaluating performance of the staff to accomplish the mission of the College. Serves on College committees and activities. Participates in professional development activities. Oversee the Student Nutritional Access Center (SNAC) food pantry and clothes closet operation. Lead the operation and strategic development of the Student Nutritional Access Center (SNAC) food pantry and clothes closet. Implement and manage Counseling & Student Life Services initiatives related to basic needs security. Meet with students to discuss needs and develop referral plan and support. Connect and liaise with four-county service area (Sumter, Lee, Kershaw, and Clarendon) support agencies to build service referral pipeline for basic needs including clothes, housing, food, daycare, healthcare, mental healthcare, and related services for the four-service counties for students. Collaborate with other departments to integrate basic needs security into broader wellness initiatives. Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Executive Director of Student Development. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. A weekly schedule will require a minimum of 24 hours per week, but additional hours may be required during peak.

QUALIFICATIONS:          

Bachelor’s degree, plus experience in case management work, social work, advising, counseling and/or working with underserved populations. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365), communication skills, and workshop / presentation skills.
