In the fall of 2022, we had the opportunity to participate in the Achieving the Dream’s (ATD) self-assessment tool known as the Institutional Capacity Assessment Tool (ICAT). This is based upon the seven capacities that ATD has determined that a college needs to be successful in meeting its goals to improve student success and build a student-focused culture.

The seven capacities are:

  • Leadership and Vision
  • Data and Technology
  • Equity
  • Engagement and Communication
  • Teaching and Learning
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Policies and Practices

These seven are known as the Institutional Capacity Framework.

As a follow-up to the ICAT, CCTC  is hosting a Capacity Café where we will convene faculty, staff and administrators to review the results of our ICAT. This will allow us all the opportunity to give insight into our strengths and areas for improvement and will generate ideas on how to further strengthen all seven capacity areas.

The Capacity Café will take place:

Thursday, Jan. 26
10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Advanced Manufacturing Technology Training Center (AMTTC), Room A101
