Central Carolina Technical College is proud to announce it has received a 2026 Green Globes for New Construction certification of the CCTC Academic Student Services Building and the achievement of a Green Globes rating.

Green Globes is part of the Green Building Initiative (GBI) for resource efficiency and reduction of environmental impacts. GBI’s Green Globes for New Construction “evaluates environmental sustainability, health & wellness of future tenants and resilience of new construction and major renovation projects through the latest science, research and alignments with technical advancement,” according to their website at thegbi.org.

The Academic Student Services Building is the newest building at the Main Campus with the ribbon cutting held August 2025. The academic wing (M100) provides extra classroom and science labs. The student services wing (M200) brings together college services that used to be spread out across the main campus like student development, financial aid, admissions, advisement and testing. The wings are connected by a 3rd floor hallway and break area with incredible views of the campus.

GBI is an international nonprofit dedicated to improving the built environment’s impact on climate and society.
