$18,000 Grant from Haas Foundation Helps CCTC Machining Students

Thanks to an $18,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation, CCTC can welcome more students into its machining technology program.

The grant was presented to  Academic Program Manager for Machining and CNC Technology, Eddie Humphries.

Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation, Inc., has been a driving force in US manufacturing since 1983. His foundation supports machining and CNC programs across the country to help grow this field.

CCTC’s Basic Machining and CNC Fundamentals Certificate equips students with in-demand skills in machining and CNC operations—fields seeing rapid growth. The grant funds are administered through the Central Carolina Technical College Foundation and will provide scholarships and toolkits for students.
