Know What You’re Getting and Know What You Owe

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: This session will help students understand the basics of paying for college and making informed financial decisions. Participants will learn how to read and interpret a financial aid award letter, understand the differences between grants, loans, and scholarships, and identify hidden costs and out-of-pocket expenses that may not be covered by financial aid. Students will also gain strategies for comparing financial aid offers from different colleges and learn smart borrowing tips to help minimize debt and manage college expenses responsibly.
