Orientation to Manufacturing

Have you wanted to be part of something bigger? Looking for a new career?

Central Carolina Technical College has partnered with Becton Dickinson, Caterpillar, Continental Inc, and the Eaton Corporation to create a manufacturing orientation course. This intense week-long course consists of classroom and hands-on training that will prepare students for a career in the manufacturing industry. The course will help you to write résumés and answer questions during a job interview. Each student will refresh basic math skills and learn some of the basic tools for the manufacturing industry including torquing and precision measurements. Each student will learn to interpret and follow work instructions, understand industrial safety and work place ergonomics. The course will culminate in a day-long simulated work environment that will award a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Each class is limited to 11 students and will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Scholarship opportunities are available for this course.
