DESCRIPTION:                                  

Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment & Admissions serves as a Recruiter to recruit and enroll students into the college’s programs of study from secondary schools and other secondary level partners.  Networks with guidance counselors and other secondary level representatives to inform, strengthen, and encourage secondary level educational partnerships for enrollment.  Recruits and enrolls traditional and nontraditional students into the college by attending community, military, business, and industry events, meetings and other forums.  Networks, presents and disseminates promotional college material to encourage partnerships for enrollment.  Meets recruitment goals and maintains recruitment tracking data.  Utilizes the recruitment tracking data and the recruitment database to report the results for recruitment goal comparison.  Provides supplemental admissions counseling services as an admissions counselor during peak hours or as assigned.  Advises and counsels students in career and academic areas.  Participates in the implementation of the recruitment plan by developing student enrollment goals and strategies in collaboration with supervisor, VP for Student Affairs and academic unit.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Must possess a high level of written and oral communications.  Must be able to speak proficiently before groups of people.  Performs a high degree of administrative and organizational efficiency in the areas of tracking data, admission procedures, and career counseling.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.  Must have a high level of initiative with very good organizational skills.  Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks and programs.  Must have the ability to deal with customers (students, faculty and staff) is essential.  Must be able to use a personal computer and quickly learn new software programs.  Prioritizing tasks is of high importance.  Must be able to perform duties professionally, adhering to internal and external standards.  Must be able to exercise discretion, use sound judgment, and complete projects within deadlines.  Must work one late night.  Some early morning hours, evening hours and weekend hours are required to accommodate the schedule of various events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree; or Bachelor’s degree + 2 years’ experience in student services programs.  Valid Driver’s license required.

SALARY:

$39,000 – $41,000.
