DESCRIPTION:                                 

Performs the analysis, design, implementation and modification of complex computer systems and administers support for the database management system. Plans and directs the design and development of administrative systems based on internal and external user information and database requirements. Programs, tests and debugs applications. Provides technical support and user training in the Banner administrative system and related products and systems. Plans, coordinates, installs and tests the database management system, including upgrades and patches. Maintains system integrity and compliance with standards and security.

QUALIFICATIONS:                          

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information technology, or related field and two (2) years’ experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

PREFERRED:                                     

Three (3) to five (5) years extensive experience with Oracle 10g or higher, maintenance experience with SunGard HE Banner 7 or higher, Workflow, document management systems, JAVA, PL/SQL, and any web portal experience. Extensive knowledge and experience in JSP, ASP, and PHP; experience with any application server including IIS, Tomcat, Apache, and Oracle; experience with a program development tool including TOAD; experience with reporting tools including MS Access, Evisions’ Argos, Crystal Reports, and SQL Server Reporting Services. Ability to prepare oral and written reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to establish positive working relationships with employees.

SALARY:                                             

$60,000 – $70,000.
