DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the PBI ACE Grant Director, provides tutoring services in the Titan Tutoring Center. Assists with academic success strategies. Supports students to become more independent learners, persist in college, and reach their goals. Provides individual or group tutoring sessions across a range of courses based on their area of expertise. Clarifies and reviews concepts taught in class, explains process and helps students solve specific problems. The emphasis of the tutoring sessions is determined by the student’s needs. Works with colleagues and the Student Learning Resources & Freshman Seminar Coordinator. Works 20-24 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-matter field and/or instructional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree or higher in the subject-matter field.
SALARY:
$25.00 per hour
