Surgical Technology grads pass national exam for fifth year

Central Carolina Technical College reports that 100 percent of 2016 graduates of the surgical technology program have passed the National Certification for Surgical Technologist (CST) examination on the first try. The 2016 graduates’ 100 percent pass rate for the rigorous national examination on the first attempt is well above the national average of 69.8 percent for 2014, the most recent data available. This is the fifth year that Brie A. Weber, Surgical Technology – Academic Program Manager, has produced a 100 percent pass rate.
