SUMTER, SC — Today, Central Carolina Technical College launched a new logo, marking the first change in its visual identity since 1992. CCTC’s new brand is a reflection of the college’s commitment to local training, its direct effect on global technology and its position as an educational pathway to the future.
For nearly 55 years, Central Carolina Technical College has helped students achieve their dream of higher education. The college has worked to meet the ever rising expectations from students, the community, and from local business and industry. Much has happened in five decades, technological advances have expanded careers immensely resulting in new programs that lead to great jobs with reliable futures, good wages and opportunities for advancement. Besides providing a quick entry into the workforce, CCTC has become an excellent educational pathway with numerous transfer opportunities for its students. The new logo coincides with CCTC’s promise to continue its evolution with technology while remaining steadfast to its essential two-year associate degree programs, such as nursing, automotive and human services.
Designed in-house, the new logo presents the college as modern and advancing, reflecting its global reach and its educational and occupational opportunities. The logo is a bold, globe graphic with four circulating pathways. The four pathways represent each county that CCTC serves: Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter as well as the countless choices available to CCTC students. The new brand powerfully represents the expanding future of Central Carolina Technical College.
