Hardee appointed President of SC Tech College System

CCTC’s Tim Hardee is appointed President of SC Technical College System

SUMTER, SC — On Monday, September 19, the South Carolina Technical College System announced that Central Carolina Technical College President Dr. Tim Hardee will serve as the next President for the South Carolina Technical College System. “CCTC is delighted that one of our own was chosen for this statewide leadership role and wishes Dr. Hardee the very best in this distinguished new direction,” said J. Mac Summers, Chairman of the Central Carolina Technical College Area Commission.

Hardee has served over 30 years in education in South Carolina, including 15 at Central Carolina Technical College. He has been honored by Coastal Carolina University with the Outstanding Alumni award as well as the Sumter Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Achievement Award. Prior to entering higher education administration 15 years ago, he served as a teacher, coach, counselor, principal and administrator on the K-12 level.

With a B.S. in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University, Hardee also holds an M.Ed. in Counselor Education and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. He currently serves as a member of the South Carolina Workforce Development Board and is a graduate of the South Carolina Economic Development Institute, the Furman Diversity Leaders Institute, and Leadership South Carolina.

CAMPUS ALERT:

Central Carolina Technical College has been monitoring the weather and based on the Governor declaring a State of Emergency, all CCTC campuses will be closed on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 due to inclement weather. All campuses will remain on a normal operating schedule for the remainder of today, Thursday, Jan. 20. Further announcements will be available on social media and cctech.edu.
