CCTC Wins Gold National Advertising Award

Central Carolina Technical College was a named a winner in the 35th Annual Educational Advertising Awards sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, more than 2,350 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

 

CCTC received a Gold Award for the Hero Central campaign in the Fund Raising Campaign category. Hero Central was a new initiative created by the Development and Alumni Department to benefit the CCTC Foundation. In fall 2019, Central Carolina employees came together for the first-ever employee giving campaign. More than $21,000 was raised in this first year with proceeds benefitting a variety of programs and scholarships at the college. The theme of the campaign was designed around employees as superheroes, with various staff and faculty posing in the new CCTC Titan mascot cape. The campaign’s photographs of faculty and staff were taken by Media Specialist Nicole Ouellette of the college’s Public Relations Department.

 

Fifteen institutions were recognized by the judges as a “Best of Show” winners. Gold awards were granted to 294 institutions, silver awards were awarded to 201 institutions and bronze awards were awarded to 157 institutions.

 

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

 

Established in 1977, the foundation provides support to the college to enhance its efforts to prepare students to enter the job market and achieve their professional goals. Over the 43 year history, the foundation has awarded more than $2.5 million in scholarships to more than 3,500 students.

 

Central Hero
