CCTC Foundation Outstanding Service Award announced

The Outstanding Service Award, an activity initiated by the Central Carolina Technical College Foundation in the early 1980s, is a college-wide recognition of outstanding performance as determined by peers and supervisors. This award is intended to acknowledge the performance of an employee in the support staff area and to place the name of the recipient on a plaque displayed at the college.

CCTC President Dr. Michael Mikota is pleased to announce that Tiffany Wilson has been selected as the 2017-18 recipient of the Outstanding Service Award for Central Carolina Technical College.

Wilson is the Director for Financial Aid and Veterans’ Affairs and has over 11 years of leadership experience in higher education and student affairs. She is also an adjunct faculty member of CCTC, where she has taught College Skills and Freshman Seminar courses for over four years. Wilson is a native of South Carolina and holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration from Francis Marion University. During her time at FMU, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and worked as both a Resident Assistant and Orientation Leader. She is a Lifetime Member of the Francis Marion University Alumni Association, an active member of the Sumter Junior Welfare League and is also involved with the Sumter Chamber of Commerce.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked for her alma mater in the Office of Financial Assistance until 2012, when she was offered a position with Central Carolina Technical College. She is currently pursuing her doctorate of education from the University of the Cumberlands in Educational Leadership with a specialty in Student Personnel Services.
