Directs the planning, development, implementation, & management of the College’s information technology infrastructure across multiple locations in the service area for converged voice, video & data communications for administrative functions, instruction, & distance learning.  Provides vision, leadership, direction, & guidance in the development of information technology plans & policies to meet the academic & administrative needs of the College.  Evaluates College & user needs, researches technologies & trends, & recommends solutions for hardware, software, & services.  Directs the planning, development, implementation, management, & evaluation of user training & technical support systems for faculty, staff, & students.  Implements technology projects in response to College initiatives, goals, objectives, & user requests, working collaboratively with College personnel to ensure satisfaction with technology solutions for programs & services in information systems & web-enabled applications. Supervises & evaluates Information & Learning Technology personnel.  Manages fiscal & technical resources. Completes annual planning process as a unit of Business Affairs. Collaborates on local & state levels on information technology & management, serving as the College’s designated official for information technology as a liaison with other state agencies & external partners.


Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and three (3) years’ experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
