DESCRIPTION:                                 

Assists faculty with the implementation of the College’s Instructional Design Standards (IDS), curriculum design and course improvement. Works collaboratively with Distance Learning staff to develop curriculum for online and virtual learning ensuring compliance with IDS and accessibility standards. Supports academic departments and faculty with: curriculum development; design of instructional programs based on identified competencies and Instructional Design Standards; and integration of new teaching methodologies. Provides workshops and training for faculty on curriculum design, best practices, curriculum software, and instructional strategies. Collaborates with the PBI ACE Grant Director and provides data and reports related to grant initiatives. Assists with the implementation and utilization of curriculum management software. Assists with program accreditation and approvals. Coordinates the internal Program Review Process on a five-year cycle and ensures course and program outcomes align with the strategic needs of the College and program. Distributes the Annual Program Evaluation conducted by the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education (SBTCE). Reviews academic program materials for compliance with State regulations and College guidelines. Ensures all associate degree programs conform to SBTCE models. Follows and complete College, state, and federal grant policies, procedures, and requirements. Recommends new curricula, revisions or changes in instructional methodology. Assists or develops instructional evaluation methods and assessment, competency and/or proficiency testing for students. Coordinates new degrees, diplomas, and certificates with the SBTCE and the Commission on Higher Education.

QUALIFICATIONS:                          

A bachelor’s degree and experience in curriculum management or development. A master’s degree in education may be substituted for the required work experience

Preferred:                                          

Master’s degree in education or instructional design and higher education experience.

SALARY:                                             

$35,360 – 51,500
