Facelift in progress

AMTTC Construction begins!

The demolition phase of construction began this week.  This phase will last about one month and the entire renovation is expected to be completed by June 2015.

CCTC Breaks Ground for Advanced Manufacturing Technology Training Center

Central Carolina Technical College hosted a groundbreaking ceremony June 19th at the old Walmart building on Broad Street in Sumter. CCTC President Dr. Tim Hardee expressed appreciation for the excellent partnerships the college has developed within the local community to make this project possible. Guest speakers included: J. Mac Summers, Jr., CCTC Area Commission Chairman; Murrell Smith, Chairman of the local legislative delegation; Kimberly Simpson, Production Manager for Continental Tire, Sumter, SC; and Joe McElveen, Mayor of Sumter.
