South Carolina State Constable Training Program

This course covers policy and procedures, laws of arrest, search and seizures, crisis intervention, evidence, officer survival, handling prisoners, constitutional law, juvenile procedures/child abuse, police community relations, police communications, civil liabilities, ethics and firearms, also included are defensive tactics and weapons retention training. Prerequisites: Must have authorization letter from SLED Regulatory Services to register. Students must make a 70 or above on the final exam and pass the firearms training/range qualifications.
