‘Books Are Fun’ fundraiser returns to the Student Center on Tuesday

Don’t miss your chance to shop for some books while helping to raise funds for CCTC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, the international honor society of the two-year college.

 

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 in the Student Center, Building M100 on our Main Campus.

Celebrate Black History Month on Monday, March 2

Student group ACTS (A Calling to Salvation) presents “Celebrate Black History Month” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 2 on the Main Campus, Building M400, Room M401.
 
Tickets are $5 and include dinner, keynote speakers, spoken word, singing and a live band!

Get help with your job search!

Don’t miss Career Services’ upcoming workshops designed to help you find a job. SC Works will provide a representative as the guest speaker, with free snacks and drinks for all attendees.

Completed scholarship applications should be returned to CCTC Student Services Center by March 15, 2015. 
Applications are available in the Student Service Center – Sumter Main Campus, Health Sciences Center, Base Education Office, F. E. DuBose Campus, Kershaw County Campus and the Lee County site.

The Central Open Mic Session: poetry, spoken word & creative expressions

Come enjoy poetry, spoken word, and creative expressions from CCTC students, faculty, and staff at The Central Open Mic Session, held the third Wednesday of each month. This event is family friendly and open to the public.Outside performances are welcome!

What: The Central Open Mic Session

When: 7 to 8 p.m., every third Wednesday

  • Feb. 18
  • March 18
  • April 15

Where: Student Center, Building M100

A Featured Poet will perform at each session.
