Sounds of Inspiration Ice Cream Social - Wednesday!

Sounds of Inspriation's Ice Cream Social and wristband sale will take place:

Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Date: Wednesday, April 22

Location: Student Center, Building M100

Prices:

Ice Cream: $1

Ice Cream with Toppings: $1.50

Wristbands: $2

Sponsored by student organization Sounds of Inspiration.

Check out Phi Theta Kappa’s Silent Auction

Silent auction items are on display in the case next to the Main Campus Library and the bid book is on the stand next to the display case. 

The winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 23. If you are the highest bidder, you will pay and take your item at this time.

Help veterans with SVA’s Clean & Comfy Campaign

CCTC’s Student Veterans of America chapter is holding a special drive to benefit veterans at the Dorn VA Medical Center through April 24.

The following items are requested – individual size only and no glass:

  •          T-shirts (new) M-3XL
  •          Socks (new), white
  •          Toothbrushes
  •          Toothpaste
  •          Deodorant (stick)
  •          Combs and brushes
  •          Shaving cream or gel
  •          Hand and body lotion
  •          Body wash
  •          Nail clippers

Drop off your donations in the Veterans Resource Center, Building M100, Room M120.

Veterans Information Seminar

Sumter County Veterans Affairs will present a special seminar called “Committed to Serving America’s Veterans” from 9 a.m. to noon, April 25 in Building M400, Room M401.

Topics include:

  •          Latest VA updates from the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC
  •          Visit the Mobile Vet Center to “get registered” using e-benefits and My Health-E-Vet
  •          Crown business presentation on “How to Grow Your Business/Organization”

Special Populations Program application deadline: Aug. 1

The Special Populations Program is now accepting applications for the Fall Semester. Applications can be picked up in Admissions, Building M300 and are due Aug. 1.
 
This program is provided by Perkins IV, which is a federal Title 1 grant for post-secondary education and part of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act.
