May 29: TRiO Student Appreciation Day

TRiO Student Appreciate Day is open to all TRiO participants and will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29. 

Come for games and hot dogs, burgers, fries and sweet tea -- from Sonic!

It will be held in Building M400, Room M401.

Using Social Media in Your Job Search - A Career Services Workshop

Join Career Services for a college-wide student workshop called: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter: Using Social Media in Your Job Search.

Find out how to use social media in your job search. More and more employers are utilizing these tools. Come to this workshop to learn how to connect and network with social media to find employment.

Two sessions will be offered:

June 3: noon to 1 p.m.

June 4: 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

TRiO Student Support Services is looking for positive, patient and reliable individuals to join its staff as tutors this fall.

CCTC study areas available

At Central Carolina Technical College, we know studying makes a difference and we want to provide study areas wherever possible.

  • On the Main Campus, study rooms are available in the Library for individuals and small groups from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and can be reserved ahead of time and used for up to two hours at a time.
  • At the Health Sciences Center, rooms and tables are available in the Library during the day only.
  • At all other locations, please ask about study spaces – we will try to accommodate your needs if space is available.

Special Populations Program application deadline: Aug. 1

The Special Populations Program is now accepting applications for the Fall Semester. Applications can be picked up in Admissions, Building M300 and are due Aug. 1.
 
This program is provided by Perkins IV, which is a federal Title 1 grant for post-secondary education and part of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act.
