Description
Provides essential service-oriented people-centered support for information and learning technologies for faculty, staff, and students of the College. Conducts orientation and training programs for all users. Works directly with users for the on-going management of incident reporting from documentation of the problem, to problem identification and 1st level resolution, through escalation and completion of the request at higher levels. Documents the diagnostic steps of the problem and tracks detailed information about the problem and its status in the online database. Extensively researches user problems to find the correct solution. Provides documented solutions to a problem for inclusion in the knowledge database. Follows-up with users regularly to discuss the status of their request and to ensure that needs are met in a satisfactory manner according to the quality dimensions of the department’s service model.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or associate degree in computer science, computer technology or related field and two (2) years experience in the support and troubleshooting of data communications equipment, office automation systems, processing of information or installation of hardware or software; or high school diploma and four (4) years experience in the support and troubleshooting of data communications equipment, office automation systems, processing of information or installation of hardware or software.Preferred
Knowledge of personal computer hardware, data communications equipment, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft desktop applications, SmartClassroom. technology, and web browsers. Two (2) years experience in desktop and mobile computer hardware, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007, permanent and portable classroom equipment (computer projection system, document cameras, scanners, interactive white boards), and web conferencing software.Salary
Hiring Range $25,000 - $28,000Anticipated Start Date
