Cellular Flow Manufacturing (LE205)

In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to link and balance manufacturing operations to reduce lead times, minimize work in process, optimize floor space usage, and improve productivity.  They will also experience the results of Cellular/Flow Manufacturing principles as applied in a life-like simulation.  First, they will learn the concepts of Cellular/Flow Manufacturing.  Then, they help transform a traditional batch production area to a cellular layout and see the dramatic changes in the way the product flows, so that customer demand is met on time, every time.  The instructor will lead the class through the MEP 5-step process for designing and implementing work.  Registrants for this class must have taken the prerequisite LE101; Principles of Lean Manufacturing class or a half day overview.
