Welcome to the ASSIST Program.

Accessible Support Services and Instruction for Sustainable Transition (ASSIST) to work, helps business and industry employ technologically skilled employees. ASSIST is a comprehensive and customizable education and support services program that will prepare participants for entry into educational programs that can lead to industry-recognized credentials, certificates, diplomas, or degrees.

The objective of the ASSIST program at CCTC is to deliver advanced industrial technology training to the Sumter, Lee, Kershaw and Clarendon county residents. The program will ensure that Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) candidates, dislocated, displaced, unemployed, and incumbent workers are at ease in learning and working around technology enriched environments. The ASSIST program consists of 4 priorities:

1) Accelerate progress for low-skilled and other workers.
2) Improve retention and achievement rates to reduce time to completion.
3) Build programs that meet industry needs.
4) Strengthen online and technology-enabled learning.

An essential part of ASSIST is the Industrial Workforce Readiness Center (iWRC). The iWRC is available to the public and is located on the Main Campus of Central Carolina Technical College, Building M400, Room M410. Services offered include skills assessments, and employment readiness workshops.
