Increasing postsecondary enrollment

The ACT Program seeks to increase the postsecondary enrollment of low-income Black American students by facilitating successful transition to the collegiate environment. The program does this by:

  • Conducting test preparation workshops for the COMPASS(Asset) Placement Test to area high school students for placement into the CCTC Dual Enrollment Program
  • Providing onsite COMPASS(Asset) placement testing to area high schools
  • Offering College Skills 103 courses to area high schools
  • Conducting "Come See Me at College" Day, which includes tours for area high school students
  • Conducting "Getting College Right!" Workshops to area high schools and outreach locations in each of the four counties
