Central Carolina has responded to the high cost of gasoline by adding more online (Internet and hybrid) courses. Enjoy the convenience of online learning and have fewer trips to the campus!
Definitions: Online or Internet courses are designated by a "D" section. For example, ENG 101 D20 is taught online. An online section does not have a scheduled on-campus class, but you may have to come on campus for tests and exams. Hybrid courses, which have online and classroom components, are designated by a "DH" section. For example, ENG 101 DH1 has on-campus and online components. You will have to come on campus for a few scheduled classes for a hybrid course. Hybrid class dates and times will be printed on your schedule.

Desire2Learn: The online course management system used by Central Caroline is Desire2Learn or D2L for short. This system allows instructors to create virtual learning communities within the online course area. Take a look at D2L by watching the short videos below:

Want to know what courses are available online this semester? See the instructions below on searching for online courses. Courses have been added since the printed schedule was distributed, so the online search is the best method to find available courses.

Search for online courses
1. Select the Term then "Submit"

2. Select a subject or hold down the Control (Ctrl) Key and select multiple subjects
3. Select Internet for the "Schedule Type" or hold down the Control (Ctrl) Key and select both Internet and Hybrid
4. Click on "Class Search"
You should see a list of available sections of courses. Click on the title of the course to see more information and click on "View Catalog Entry" to see the course description. Enjoy!
