Medical/Surgical Nursing I

This course is a beginning study utilizing the nursing process. Concepts include physiological, psychosocial, and health and safety needs of the adult patient. Pharmacology and nutrition are integrated. Clinical experiences address selected commonly occurring health problems having predictable outcomes. Prerequisites with a grade of "C" or higher: BIO 211, PNR 110, PNR 122, and PSY 201. This course is typically taught only in the spring semester.
