Transient Student Registration for CCTC Students

If you are attending Central Carolina Technical College and wish to take an online course through another institution, here are the steps for getting registered:

1. Research available online courses within the technical college system
2. Meet with your advisor at Central Carolina to select the course(s) that meets your program needs
3. Complete a Transient Request Form and obtain signatures from your advisor, department chair/program manager, and the Registrar. This ensures that the course you take at another college will transfer back to Central Carolina and apply toward the completion of your program requirements.
4. Contact the provider college and complete the admissions and registration processes at that college (Submit a copy of your Transient Request Form to the provider college)
5. Pay any required application/admissions fees
6. Pay course tuition and fees to the provider college
7. Purchase your books and required course materials
8. After you complete the course, request that the provider college send a copy of your official transcript to the Registrar at Central Carolina (You may have to pay for this service)
