Certificate in Welding workforce Initiative Level II (WWI2)

This program was designed in partnership with the Sumter County Economic Development Board to provide technical training for persons interested in entry level positions in welding. The program is divided into two sections, Level I and Level II. The student must complete Level I courses, or demonstrate Level I skills, before advancing to Level II.

Level II courses cover procedures in pipeweld, metallurgy and welding exotic materials. Projects are designed to prepare the student for ANSI/AWS certification tests. The student will be familiar with approved testing practices, including visual examination, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing and radiograph testing. Projects will be evaluated on appearance, workmanship, accuracy, and conformance to ANSI/AWS standards.

To complete this program, course should be taken in the following sequence.
