Groundbreaking for new Kershaw Campus
On June 18, 2009, College Faculty, Staff, Commissioners and Foundation Board members joined with officials from Kershaw County and the City of Camden at the official ground-breaking ceremony for Phase I of the new Kershaw campus.
Kershaw County Economic Development Office Director Nelson Lindsay, Central Carolina Technical College Commissioner Mac Summers, and Central Carolina Technical College President Dr. Tim Hardee all spoke to those gathered for the event. All three gentlemen expressed a feeling of great expectation about the collaboration and the opportunities it represents for all those involved.
The 15,000-square-foot building will include industrial training bays, classroom space, a science lab and the Kershaw County Economic Development Office, and is scheduled to be completed March 2010.
