Three faculty and staff from Central Carolina recognized by SCTEA
Three members of Central Carolina Technical College's faculty and staff were recently named local winners of the South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) Educator of the Year Awards.Nancy Bishop was nominated for Administrator of the Year in light of her constant striving for quality and innovation in teaching at the college in her role as Director of Learning Resources.
Richard Pritchard, Information Technology Instructor, was nominated for Teacher of the Year for his dedication and commitment to education and his students as a faculty member in the Computer Information Technology department of the college.
Carrie Adams was nominated for Staff Person of the Year for her continued excellence of service to both students and the college as a whole as the Financial Aid Liason in the Financial Services department.
As an additional honor for Central Carolina Technical College, MylesWilliams, Department Chair for Speech, Humanities and Social Sciences, is scheduled to present at this year's conference.
The award winners are recognized at the annual SCTEA conference in February, at Myrtle Beach, SC. Each year, faculty and staff at each of South Carolina's technical colleges vote for local winners, based on performance criteria established by the SCTEA.
