Chris Hall named 2014 Governor's Professor of the Year

On April 23, 2014  at the Columbia State House, Central Carolinas own  Chris Hall, Academic Program Manager and Instructor for Criminal Justice Technology, was honored as the 2014 South Carolina Governorís Professor of the Year for the two-year public and independent colleges in South Carolina. Governor Haley was very complimentary of Mr. Hall and his work to prepare students for the rapidly changing world of technology and the jobs of the future. Mr. Hall has been a faculty member at Central Carolina since 2004 and has excelled not only in the classroom but also in the areas of innovative use of technology, service to the local community, and student club activities. At our 2013 graduation ceremony he was honored with the E.C. ďRedĒ Kneece Instructional Excellence Award. Over 160 students at Central Carolina are currently enrolled in the criminal justice program under his leadership. Chris will continue to be an excellent ambassador for Central Carolina and we are proud to have him selected by the S. C. Commission on Higher Education for this honor. Please join Central Carolina in congratulating him as the 2014 Governorís Professor of the Year.

This news is also exciting for Central Carolina Technical College because for the first time in the history of the award a faculty member from the same college won the Governorís Professor of the Year Award two years in a row. Our own Josh Castleberry was the 2013 Governorís Professor of the Year.
