Central Carolina Technical College's 2011 commencement ceremony awarded 740 students with associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. This class is CCTC's largest to date, surpassing last year's class by 60 students.
"We are very proud of each and every one of our students, and we see an exceptional class standing before us that exemplifies the quality of our programs," said Dr. Tim Hardee, president of the college.
"I would also like to give special recognition and thanks to each member our faculty and staff, because without them, this class would not be standing in front of us today," Hardee said.
The commencement address was given by Dr. Kay Raffield, who served as president of the college from 1999-2007. Prior to assuming the presidency, she served as the Vice President of Student Affairs, and previously held a variety of positions at the college, including roles in teaching and administration. She closed her speech saying, "I pray that you will live your lives planting good seeds and that you will reap a bountiful harvest. Congratulations and God Bless."
