Forty-Two Students Inducted to Phi Theta Kappa

Forty-two Central Carolina Technical College students were inducted into the Beta Eta Pi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at the college on Monday, March 21, 2011.  This group of new members is the largest group ever inducted during the Spring semester at Central Carolina. Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of the two-year college. Its mission is two-fold: to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students; and to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

Inducted were: Tonya Baker, Estrella Baxter, Lillie Bernard, Christopher Bledsoe, Cynthia Bolen, Brian Booth, Darby Brown, Jared Buniel, Billi Catoe, Salley Caughman, Elizabeth Clements, Casey Cox, Ashley Danzy, Brittany Dingle, Brianna Doughty, Edgar DuRant Jr., Janet Eady, Sara Emory, Brandi Fitzpatrick, Kristofer Gathright, Shelly Griffin, Courtney Harrison, George Hartman, Jessica Hetter, Wade Hodge Jr., Kenneth Huggins, Nancy Huggins, James Jeko Jr., Viveca Johnson, Amy Kearnes, Kathleen Langlois, Lauren LaRoque, Brett Puckett, Stephanie Schoonover, Kayla Sharper, Jennifer Smith, Thomas Stabler, Meghan Starling, Britne Tisdale, Kristen Weaver, Sheenia Wilson, and Phyllis Wright.  Mark Neal, the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisor at the college, presided over the meeting.  Dr. Tim Hardee, President of Central Carolina, was the guest speaker.
